For this series the stamps no’s 123, 125, 128 130-137 & LP8-16 of the Burundi Kingdom were used and overprinted with “REPUBLIQUE BURUNDI

Two sheets of 25 were sold in the post office of Bujumbura

 

No 197. 50F, Abyssinian ground hornbill (Buceros Abyssinicus) (no 136)

No 197-Cu. Overprint is smudged. It is not clear if this is a forgery that was made locally and sold. Or that it is a forgery made in Belgium, the stamp is not rare and a forgery made in Belgium is therefore not likely but also not impossible.
