LX881-888. World Cup, 1978

World-Championship Soccer in Argentina, 1-25 June 1978. The true world championship, however, is known as the World Cup.

It is played every four years and is the most-watched sporting event in the world. The first World Cup was played in Uruguay in 1930.

In Buenos Aires, Argentina played against Holland in the finals. Argentina celebrates; it defeats The Netherlands 3 to 1 and wins the final. During the 90 minutes regulation time, the result was 1 — 1 but in extra time, 2 goals were scored.
