New is that this series were printed in sheets of 15. According to the distributor are these blocks very rare and only printed in limited editions (time will show us if this is correct).

There are no variations or curiosities known for any of the above shown material.

 

Curiosities:

These stamps are from the blocks “Fauna, Flora, Minerals and Jamboree”, 1996.

The value is crossed out and the stamps are mounted on board, some with are paragraphed. Punched holes are made that do not form a word and do not seem to have any sensible explanation other than to demonetized them (can no longer be used as postage). In some the word “Zaïre” is crossed out.

Could these stamps be proofs for a new series with overprinted values? or maybe proofs for the new “Democratic Republic Congo”?
